Good news: Vontaze Burfict avoided suspension for the second time this season following his ejection from last Sunday's game for contacting an official.

Bad news: We're guessing this isn't the last time Burfict, the mercurial Bengals linebacker,Womens Antonio Brown Jersey, officials or league representatives., has a run-in with opposing players

" wide reciever A.J. Green said on Sunday. "On some of those plays I don't think anybody else would make it. They wouldn't get that call. I think he just has a target on his back. That's the way he is. He's an emotional guy. That's the guy we want. I wouldn't trade him for anybody in the world.",Womens Le'Veon Bell Jersey,"I think he's getting targeted a lot

and there is video that shows officials coming into contact with the linebacker three times in the past four games.",But more than that,Womens James Conner Jersey, an unnamed Bengals player told Adam Schefter that he believes Burfict was provoked by officials on at least three occasions in recent weeks. Those provocations, included "officials cursing at Burfict on multiple occasions, according to Schefter

The league denied the charges though it's easy to conclude that Burfict's reputation had everything to do with the personal-foul flag on this late hit:

So you can understand why some folks might be talking conspiracy. But Bengals coach Marvin Lewis isn't looking for excuses -- nor does he think officials are provoking Burfict.

"Officials have a job to do,Womens Brian Dawkins Jersey, so that's important., and I've explained this to Vontaze,Womens Carson Wentz Jersey," Lewis said. "They have a job to do and they are going to separate players, and players are in a situation where they are there. That's not what this is about, where the NFL should be. So,T. J. Watt Vapor Untouchable Jersey, and he understands that, and that's the most important thing. We don't need to jaw with anyone after the play, get back to the huddle and get going, any of the players

Past recipients of the award are Frank Gore (2016),Authentic Antonio Brown Jersey, Curtis Martin, Charles Woodson (2015) and Larry Fitzgerald (2014). The winner is determined by a vote of current NFL players. An NFL Legends committee of Warrick Dunn,Authentic Le'Veon Bell Jersey, Karl Mecklenburg and Leonard Wheeler will select the eight finalists (four from the NFC and four from the AFC) who will be up for voting.

After the Bengals’ Week 7 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Joe Mixon (justifiably) questioned his coach’s strategy of going away from a rushing attack that had been highly effective. While Marvin Lewis saw this as a sign of immaturity,Authentic James Conner Jersey, most fans did not.

Fast forward to last Friday, and Mixon showed that he has the personality required to continue to improve in the NFL,Authentic Brian Dawkins Jersey, as he went out of way to make sure he was doing all he could to help his team succeed.

Fans and analytics people alike have noticed that Mixon is getting next to no push up front. But the running back’s humility seemed to have paid off,Authentic Carson Wentz Jersey, as Mixon had a solid game and his third touchdown of the season in a loss to the Tennessee Titans.

Just a reminder that this Thursday when the Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Tennessee Titans they will wear the best looking alternate uniforms in the NFL. According to Steelers director of communications, Pittsburgh will sport the Color Rush uniforms this week.

There was some genuine concern when the announcement was made that the Steelers’ uniforms would get the monochromatic treatment that we’d all have to endure an all yellow ensemble. But instead Pittsburgh got all black and they look great.

Meanwhile,T. J. Watt Vapor Untouchable Jersey, the Titans are likely to wear their powder blue versions.

That's why Heyward expected Thursday to be “weird” when LeBeau returns to Heinz Field as assistant head coach of the Tennessee Titans.

“I still miss him saying: ‘What's up Buckeye? How are you doing?' ” Heyward said Monday. “His Christmas night tale that he would tell us. There are so many stories I have that I'll cherish. But this isn't a funeral or anything. Coach LeBeau is going to be out there trying to kick our (butt), so we have to be ready.”

Coach Mike Tomlin, who had LeBeau on his staff for eight seasons, agreed.

“As awesome as it will be to see Dick on a personal note, he's not the kind of guy you want to see in a headset on the other sideline,” Tomlin said.

The Titans arrive in Pittsburgh with a four-game winning streak behind a defense Tomlin called “quintessential Dick LeBeau.” The Titans ranks sixth against the run (91.9 yards per game) and also are sixth-best in third-down percentage (33.3).

“They're taking the ball away. They're minimizing run game. They're making the explosion and splash plays,” Tomlin said. “That is the signature of his ball. That's a significant reason why they're 6-3 and division leaders. ... They played two-on-one on A.J. Green. Everybody else played man-to-man. They won all the possession battles. They won the game. That's Dick LeBeau.”

LeBeau was the Bengals' defensive backs coach from 1980 to 1983, and defensive coordinator from 1984 to 1991. He returned as defensive coordinator and assistant head coach from 1997 to 2000, and was the Bengals' head coach from 2000 to 2002.

He is credited with creating the zone blitz while he was the Bengals' defensive coordinator.

He was the Steelers' defensive backs coach from 1992 to 1994, and defensive coordinator from 1995 to 1996 and again from 2004 to 2014

Two days removed from their last game and two days before their next the Steelers had five players either limited or out of practice Tuesday.

Starters Vance McDonald (ankle) and Joe Haden (fractured fibula) did not practice. Haden was already ruled out for Thursday's 8:25 p.m. kickoff and Mike Tomlin said Sunday that any players who limped out of Lucas Oil Stadium likely wouldn't recover in time to face the Tennessee Titans.

Fellow first-choice player Mike Mitchell (ankle) was limited.

Martavis Bryant (illness) and James Harrison (back) also did not practice.

Ben Roethlisberger (non-injury), William Gay (non-injury), Ramon Foster (non-injury) and Darrius Heyward-Bey (non-injury) all fully participated in practice. Heyward-Bey went in and out of the Steelers' 20-17 win against the Indianapolis Colts with a foot injury.

Jesse James and to a lesser extent Xavier Grimble would pick up any snaps McDonald can't take.

Justin Hunter has backed up Bryant while Robert Golden has filled in for Mitchell.

Coty Sensabaugh filled in for Haden at left cornerback in Indianapolis and is slated to start on Thursday.
